Our Center provides, without charge, a place where children with dyslexia can receive effective instruction from highly trained tutors. The instruction at the center is an Orton-Gillingham based multisensory, structured language approach.
What’s required for Dyslexia Family Help?
Children admitted to the program come to the center, after school, twice a week for one hour sessions. It takes approximately two years for a child to complete the program. With that being said, it is important that the families support the child by providing transportation to and from the center and making sure they make all scheduled sessions.
To apply, parents must call the center and ask for an application. The completed application must be returned with a copy of any recent psychological evaluations. The Director reviews the information and determines if the program is a good fit for the child. Services are made available to children on a first-come, first-served basis.
We are always looking for donations and support so we can continue to provide this service without charge. We are a non-profit 501 (c) 3 and all proceeds go to helping the children at our center.
Applicants are not judged on the basis of economic status, race, religion, or Masonic affiliation.
